One more day, one more day until on-track activity at Las Vegas Motor Speedway! We can do this together. The news has started to get a little heavier in the last few days in the NASCAR world. Let’s finish out the week strong and get to some Round of 8 Playoff racing in Sin City!
Joe Gibbs Racing to List Ty Gibbs as Owner of No. 54 NASCAR Xfinity Entry in 2025
After Wednesday’s announcement that Taylor Gray will pilot the No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota GR Supra for the full 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, Ty Gibbs hinted in an Instagram Stories post that he would be the owner of Gray’s car in 2025.
Following the announcement and Instagram post, Joe Gibbs Racing confirmed to Racing America on SI that Ty Gibbs will officially be listed as the owner of the No. 54 NASCAR Xfinity Series car next season.
The car will still be a Joe Gibbs Racing entry, and housed at the Joe Gibbs Racing shop like their other cars. But the important piece of this is that is signals that the 22-year-old grandson of Coach Joe Gibbs very well could be in the longterm succession plans for the race team. The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Playoff contender and 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion, has continued a very active role within the pit area of the Joe Gibbs Racing ARCA Menards Series program since moving to the NASCAR National Series ranks as a driver.
