I don’t know about you guys, but we’re still reeling from that exciting finish of Sunday’s Go Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen. How did Chris Buescher manage to make that work? and more importantly: How did Shane Van Gisbergen keep that car from wrecking coming to the start-finish line.
Shane Van Gisbergen 'Gutted' After Rare Mistake Results in Runner-Up Finish
Shane Van Gisbergen was passed on the final lap of Sunday’s Go Bowling at The Glen by Chris Buescher, who got by the No. 16 after he skimmed the wall entering the interloop, costing him precious time and momentum.
After the race, SVG, who was chasing his second NASCAR Cup Series win, was disappointed with his mistake, and costing his Kaulig Racing team the win with what he says was the fastest car all afternoon.

Sunday at Watkins Glen, Ryan Blaney’s afternoon was over before it even really began, being involved in a multi-car wreck on the opening lap of the Go Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen International.
Blaney, was credited with a last-place finish, but was pretty heated with NASCAR and its Damaged Vehicle Policy (DVP), after the No. 12 was towed back to the garage, not their pit stall and told they were done for the day because of it.

Non-Playoff Drivers Pack a Historic Punch at Watkins Glen International
If you went into Sunday’s event at Watkins Glen International thinking that the 16 NASCAR Cup Series playoff drivers would take control of the afternoon, your thoughts were probably in line with much of the industry.
After all, these are supposed to be the 16 best drivers and teams in the series, right?
Well, things certainly didn’t unfold in that manner, at all, with sixth-place finisher Chase Briscoe being the furthest forward of those eligible for the post-season. It’s the first time in NASCAR history that no post-season driver has finished top-five in a Playoff race.
