TC Daily Pit Stop: Saturday, October 19, 2024
We’re back with another late-afternoon/early-evening edition of the TC Daily Pit Stop, after NASCAR Cup Series qualifying at Las Vegas Motor Speedway which sees NASCAR Cup Series post-season driver Christopher Bell capturing the pole.
Christopher Bell Earns Second Straight Las Vegas Playoff Race Pole
I’m thinking we can probably call Christopher Bell the King of Intermediate Qualifying, after the Joe Gibbs Racing driver won the pole for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The 29-year-old driver notched his third pole position of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series campaign on Sunday, posting a lap time of 29.135 seconds (185.344mph) to top the speed charts in single-vehicle qualifying from The Sin City.
“I feel really good,” Bell said after qualifying. “I feel really comfortable, in practice, I don’t think the pace showed what we had, but inside the car, I felt super, super comfortable, I know that we’re going to have a shot at it tomorrow.”
Tyler Reddick, the regular-season champion, was fastest in practice for Sunday’s event and will start the South Point 400 from second.
