Connor Zilisch Earns Rain-Shortened Victory at Dover Motor Speedway
Connor Zilisch continues to impress as he took his second-consecutive NASCAR Xfinity Series win on Saturday in the BetRivers 200 at Dover Motor Speedway. The race, which was scheduled for 200 laps, was called early due to rain after 134 laps.
Zilisch led 77 of the 134 laps and now has four wins on the year in his NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie season.
“Our car was as fast as Xfinity Mobile today, and we capitalized on all fronts,” Zilisch told The CW. “Had good pit stops on both stages and our ourselves in a position to be out front when the rain fell.”

Rain Forces Cancellation of Cup Series Practice and Qualifying at Dover; Chase Elliott on Cup Pole
Chase Elliott will start from the pole position in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Dover Motor Speedway after rain washed away practice and qualifying at the 1-mile concrete oval on Saturday.
Elliott, who finished third last weekend at Sonoma Raceway, had the best metric formula ranking, and as a result will start from the front of the field as he chases his second win of the season.
Chase Briscoe will start from the second position while Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick, and William Byron will round out the top-five starters on Sunday.
