William Sawalich Makes Late-Race Bump on Jesse Love to Win ARCA 200 at Berlin
After what looked like complete dominance from Jesse Love, it was William Sawalich who scored the victory in Saturday’s ARCA Menards Series event at Berlin Raceway, making a late-race move to get around the series points leader.
Making slight contact with the left-rear of the No. 20, Sawalich used lapped traffic to his advantage to take over the lead of the race, being out front for only the final two laps of Saturday’s 200-lap contest.
Love would finish second, but he was not pleased with the outcome of the race, bashing the race winner in his post-race comments, talking about his dirty driving. Sean Hingorani, who finished third, also echoed those statements.
Andres Perez de Lara finished in fourth-place, while Toni Breidinger picked up her first career top-five finish in the ARCA Menards Series, finishing fifth. Frankie Muniz was sixth, with Christian Rose, Tony Cosentino, Zachary Tinkle, and Jon Garrett rounding out the top-10.

Joe Gibbs Racing ‘Going to Be Building A Lot of Racecars’, Says Jesse Love After Late-Race Contact with William Sawalich
After leading 197 of 200 laps in Saturday’s ARCA Menards Series event at Berlin, Jesse Love wasn’t pleased with finishing in second-place, especially at the hands of William Sawalich and Joe Gibbs Racing.
Love, who got tapped in the left-rear with two laps to go after encountering some slower lapped traffic, lost the lead in the final two laps, but had a lot to say about the 16-year-old driver of the No. 18 Toyota Camry after the race.
“To lead 199 – I thought I had a ten-car-length gap, just try to keep the nose on it and not do anything stupid with those lapped cars, and then all of the sudden, I’m ass-packed lifted up into three,” continued Love. “So you know, I gotta set an example to kids that come in and run people over – we’ve all been there. But I’ve been run into by people before and not done anything about it, so they’re going to be building a lot of racecars.”
