William Byron, Alex Bowman Score Significant 1-2 Finish for Hendrick Motorsports in 2024 Daytona 500
After a caution came out just after William Byron took the white flag in Monday’s 66th annual Daytona 500, the driver of the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro collected his first career Harley J. Earl trophy. Following Byron to the finish line was his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Alex Bowman.
The race was an odd one, which featured fuel mileage strategy throughout and a massive 23-car pileup near the end of the race, which wiped out Brad Keselowski and the race’s dominant driver — Joey Logano.

Brad Keselowski’s Latest Daytona 500 Bid Ends in Big One While Battling for Lead
Another year, another missed opportunity for Brad Keselowski in the Daytona 500. The driver of the No. 6 RFK Racing Ford Mustang was battling for the win with eight laps to go, but a bump draft from Alex Bowman, which sent William Byron skidding into the right-rear of Keselowski’s car, sent Keselowski spinning.
The end result was a 23-car melee, and Keselowski was once again shut out of Daytona 500 victory lane.

Austin Hill Overcomes Adversity for Third Straight Win in Xfinity Season-Opener
There’s just no stopping Austin Hill in the NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opener at Daytona International Speedway. Monday, at Daytona, Hill was swept up in a multi-car crash, but he still rallied back to score the win.
The victory in the race marks Hill’s third-straight NASCAR Xfinity Series win in the Daytona season-opening race. Hill outdueled his former teammate Sheldon Creed as a crash broke out on the final lap of the race. Jordan Anderson finished third.
