UniFirst Expands Primary Sponsorship of Chase Elliott to Five Races in 2024
UniFirst Corporation is expanding its sponsorship with Hendrick Motorsports and 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott in 2024, serving as a five-race primary sponsor of the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro.
The company, which unveiled its paint scheme on Monday, will sponsor Elliott at Richmond-1, Martinsville-1, Darlington-1, Kansas-2, and Charlotte’s ROVAL, an increase from three races in 2023.
“We are thrilled about this upcoming season as it marks our expanded partnership with Hendrick Motorsports, Chase, and the entire No. 9 team,” said David Katz, UniFirst Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “The No. 9 UniFirst Chevy looks great on the racetrack with its iconic green paint scheme that embodies our brand. We’re excited to offer fans more opportunities to see Chase deliver wins behind the wheel of this dynamic car.”

Report: Cameron Waters to Make NASCAR Debut in 2024
Cameron Waters, a winner in the Australian Supercars, is reportedly coming to join the ranks of the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024, as part of a three-race deal for RFK Racing.
Aligned with Ford, Waters will reportedly have sponsorship from Monster Energy when he comes to the United States to contest his NASCAR Cup Series starts, which have not had exact dates set.
“I have no knowledge of that,” an RFK Racing representative told TobyChristie.com when asked about the authenticity of the report from Speedcafe’s Newscast.

William Byron’s 2024 Axalta and Raptor Tough Paint Schemes Unveiled
On Monday, Hendrick Motorsports continued to unveil its paint schemes for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series campaign, this time revealing the No. 24 Axalta and Raptor Coatings Chevrolet Camaro.
Axalta and RaptorTough, long-time partners of the No. 24 team, will return for another year on the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and both brands will bring a renewed look on the No. 24 car for various events in 2024.
According to a 2020 contract extension, the two schemes are expected to be on-track in a combined 14 NASCAR Cup Series events in 2024.

Blaine Perkins Moves to RSS Racing for Full-Time Xfinity Series Bid in 2024
Blaine Perkins will join RSS Racing for the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign, the organization announced on Monday. Perkins, a native of California, will pilot the No. 29 Ford Mustang.
Perkins finished 29th in the overall NASCAR Xfinity Series championship standings in 2023, a season where he ran 30 of the 33 events.
The California native started the 2023 campaign in the No. 07 entry for SS Greenlight Racing, but moved to the No. 02 Our Motorsports team heading into the seventh race of the season, which was at Richmond Raceway.
RSS Racing confirms that the team plans to field a fourth part-time entry, in addition to the three full-time entries announced, to be driven by Kyle Sieg, Ryan Sieg, and now Blaine Perkins.

JR Motorsports Finalizes 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series Crew Chief Lineup
On Monday, JR Motorsports revealed the updated NASCAR Xfinity Series crew chief roster for 2024, which includes a pair of new crew chiefs for the organization,
Mardy Lindley and James Pohlman will retain their positions as crew chief for Sam Mayer (#1) and Justin Allgaier (#7), respectively, while Adam Wall and Phillip Bell will join the team to serve as crew chief of Sammy Smith and Brandon Jones.
Wall, 34, served as lead engineer for Kyle Larson’s No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports team during their championship season in 2021, and had a previous stint as the lead engineer at JR Motorsports.
Bell, 33, was the lead engineer for JR Motorsports’ No. 9 team during the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. That year, the No. 9 team scored a team record eight wins, and finished second in the Championship 4 with Noah Gragson behind the wheel.

Gio Ruggiero Lands 16-Race ARCA Deal With Venturini Motorsports
Gio Ruggiero, a rising star on the short track circuit, has earned a 16-race stint with Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Menards Series for 2024. The 17-year-old driver will compete full-time in the East Series.
Additionally, Ruggiero will contest select events in both the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series West, with Shannon Rursch, a championship-winning crew chief calling the shots for Venturini.
“Running races on the bigger tracks will be something new for me,” Ruggiero said in the interview with ARCA. “I’ll have to learn a lot about aero for sure. I’m not very familiar with that, but I’m looking forward to learning as much as I can and hopefully chase some wins on the bigger tracks.”

Rise Motorsports Announces Plans For Daytona Test, ARCA Season Opener
Rise Motorsports is planning to tackle the 2.5-mile superspeedway of Daytona International Speedway in 2024, the team announced on Monday. Tim Goulet, team owner and long-time NASCAR National Series car chief, will pilot the entry in the season-opening race.
Both he and wife Rita Goulet, who has made select ARCA Menards Series starts over the last two seasons, will take part in the series’ pre-season testing session at Daytona International Speedway in January.
