TC Daily Pit Stop: Tony Stewart Dominates for SRX Win at Eldora; Jordan Anderson Returns With Larry McReynolds; DriveSmart Launches Paint Scheme Contest; Friday's TV Schedule!
TC Daily Pit Stop: Friday, August 11th, 2023
After a subpar opening four races of the Camping World SRX Series season, Tony Stewart is BACK! The three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion put on an epic beat down on the competition during Thursday Night Thunder at Eldora Speedway.
Stewart scored maximum points as he won Heat 1, Heat 2, and the 75-lap Main Event.
As Stewart dominated, Hailie Deegan was impressive as well as she took a backup car from the back of the pack in the Main Event to score a runner-up finish. Ryan Newman, the series points leader, kept his positive momentum going with a third-place finish.
Jordan Anderson, who ahs yet to compete as a driver in the NASCAR National Series since a scary crash last fall at Talladega Superspeedway, will get back behind the wheel for the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Daytona International Speedway.
The 32-year-old racer will pilot a part-time third Jordan Anderson Racing team car, and he will have his father-in-law, and 23-time NASCAR Cup Series race-winning crew chief, Larry McReynolds as his crew chief.
DriveSmart, which will sponsor Kyle Weatherman in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Texas Motor Speedway, has launched a paint scheme design contest for fans. The fan with the winning design will win an all-inclusive trip to Texas to watch the design race in person.
The contest runs through August 14th at 12:01 AM PST.
