Due to the threat of weather this weekend at Dover Motor Speedway, Spire Motorsports has opted to withdraw the No. 77 NASCAR Xfinity Series entry which Carson Hocevar was scheduled to drive.

With the team not locked into the field if rain wiped out qualifying, the team felt it was a better idea to withdraw and instead attempt to race at Darlington Raceway with Hocevar in a couple of weeks.

Two Venturini Motorsports Teams Hit With Post-Talladega Penalties

Following a 1-2 sweep in this past weekend’s ARCA Menards Series event at Talladega Superspeedway, Venturini Motorsports has been hit with penalties this week.

According to a release from ARCA, the No. 20 team, which won at Talladega, and the No. 25 team, which finished second, were found to have violated section 20C-12.1B of the rule book, which pertains to the spring mounts on the cars.

As a result, Jesse Love and Gus Dean have been docked 8 championship driver points, both teams have been docked 8 championship owner points and the crew chiefs for both teams have been fined $2,500 and placed on probation for the remainder of the 2023 season.

Kasey Kahne to Join SRX Racing Field at Berlin Raceway

Kasey Kahne, who retired from NASCAR racing following the 2018 season due to health issues, will return to pavement racing this year as he will run the SRX Racing event at Berlin Raceway on August 3rd.

Kahne, who was an 18-time winner in the NASCAR Cup Series, has remained active in racing following his NASCAR career as he has been a fixture on the dirt in the World of Outlaws.

Alpha Prime, Ryan Ellis Add Primary Sponsorship With Classic Collision at Atlanta

Seemingly on a quest to secure every sponsor in the world, Ryan Ellis announced an additional primary sponsorship partner on his No. 43 Alpha Prime Racing machine for the upcoming July event at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Classic Collision will join Ellis for that race. The company had served as an associate sponsor for Ellis at Talladega and will serve as an associate sponsor for Ellis at Texas Motor Speedway in September.

Jeremy Clements Honoring Geoff Bodine With Darlington Throwback

We are just a couple of weeks away from Darlington Throwback weekend and Jeremy Clements and the No. 51 Jeremy Clements Racing team unveiled their throwback paint scheme for the Xfinity Series race.

Clements will throw it back to Geoff Bodine’s Levi Garrett scheme from 1985 to 1989.
