TC Daily Pit Stop: Riley Herbst Breaks Through For First Xfinity Win; Christopher Bell on Pole for Cup Race; Elliott and Suarez Crash in Practice
TC Daily Pit Stop: Sunday, October 15th, 2023
Riley Herbst has had his detractors throughout his entire NASCAR Xfinity Series career, but on Saturday at his hometrack, Herbst broke through in a big way. The driver scored the Stage 2 win, led a race-high 103 laps and cruised to his first career NASCAR Xfinity Series win by nearly 15 seconds over John Hunter Nemechek.
Herbst enjoyed a caution-free final stage of Saturday’s race on his path to the win.
For the sixth time in the last 14 races, Christopher Bell will lead the NASCAR Cup Series field to the green flag as he scored the pole position for Sunday’s South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Bell was able to edge out Kyle Larson for the pole position.
