Rick Ware Racing Temporarily Restrained from Selling, Leasing Charter in Case Against LEGACY MOTOR CLUB
LEGACY MOTOR CLUB picked up a small victory on Wednesday in its legal battle against fellow NASCAR Cup Series team Rick Ware Racing as a Mecklenburg County Superior Court Judge granted a temporary restraining order, which will be placed on Rick Ware Racing.
Rick Ware Racing will be restrained from selling or leasing a Charter for 10 days or until an agreement can be made between LEGACY MOTOR CLUB and Rick Ware Racing.
While the TRO was a win for the LEGACY MOTOR CLUB team, Rick Ware Racing agreed to the restraining order in an effort to cool down the situation.
“RWR agreed to the TRO. It serves as a calming measure by letting Legacy know that RWR has no intention of transacting while we vindicate our legal rights in court,” a statement from a Rick Ware Racing team spokesperson said.
