RFK Racing Appoints Chip Bowers as New Team President
Chip Bowers, a longtime sports and entertainment executive, has been named by RFK Racing as the successor to Steve Newmark as the Team President for the three-car NASCAR Cup Series organization.
“I’m honored and thrilled to be joining one of NASCAR’s premier racing teams,” said Bowers. “As both a fan of the sport and a North Carolina native, this is truly a full-circle moment for me in my career. I’m incredibly appreciative of Jack Roush, John Henry, future Hall of Fame driver and owner Brad Keselowski, and our esteemed board of directors for asking me to be a trusted partner in leading the organization to new heights.”
Bowers has a history of leadership in business operations, sales, and marketing across the NBA, WNBA, and MLB.
Newmark departed RFK Racing in August after more than a decade in the position of RFK Racing Team President. Newmark will begin his new role at UNC Athletics on September 22.

Rajah Caruth Driving for Hendrick Motorsports in Kansas Xfinity Race
Rajah Caruth, a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoff contender, will compete in next Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Kansas Speedway. Caruth will slide behind the wheel of the No. 17 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet.
This will mark Caruth’s second career NASCAR Xfinity Series start for Hendrick Motorsports, as the driver finished 14th in the No. 17 machine in the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season finale at Phoenix Raceway.
“I feel extremely excited and thankful for the opportunity, and for me, I think about how much I’ve grown since the last time I was fortunate enough to drive a race car out of this building,” Caruth said. “I believe my experience I’ve accumulated the last few years in the [CRAFTSMAN] Truck Series, and my partial Xfinity stuff will put me right where I need to be to run up front and hopefully have a good race.”
Caruth has collected two wins in 70 career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts.
