TC Daily Pit Stop: RFK Lands Consumer Cellular in Multi-Year Deal; G2G Will Not Compete at Daytona; Frontline Returns to Front Row
TC Daily Pit Stop: Thursday, January 25th, 2024
Consumer Cellular and RFK Racing have reached terms on a multi-year deal, which will see the cell service provider serve as the ‘Official Communications Partner’ of RFK Racing, as well as a primary sponsorship partner for Brad Keselowski and the No. 6 team.
“We’re always excited to welcome new partners to not only our team here at RFK, but we’re thrilled to introduce and welcome Consumer Cellular to the sport of NASCAR,” said Brad Keselowski in a team release. “As you can tell by their unique and engaging unveil of this partnership, the team is already ahead of the curve in creative ideas, and we hope to continue that this season and beyond.”
Consumer Cellular will be the primary sponsor for Keselowski in four races in 2024 beginning at Phoenix in March, and continuing at Kansas in May, Nashville in June, and Homestead in October.
G2G Racing, which started at least one truck in 11 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events in 2023, will not field an entry for the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway in 2024, team owner Tim Viens confirmed to TobyChristie.com.
The team will reduce to one entry, and the team is planning for a schedule comprised of a handful of races to be announced later.
When the team does compete in 2024, they will utilize the No. 47 on their Toyota Tundra.
Frontline Enterprises, a long-standing partner of Todd Gilliland and Front Row Motorsports, will return as a sponsorship partner of the driver and team in 2024. The Canadian automotive dealer will adorn the No. 38 Ford Mustang in two races this year.
“Having Frontline Enterprises and Brett Stevens return for my third year in the NASCAR Cup Series is cool,” said Gilliland. “They have been with me through a lot of my racing career and have supported me throughout my entire Cup Series journey. It’s more than just a partnership between Brett and I, we treat each other like family.”
Frontline will have its first turn on the No. 38 machine at Sonoma Raceway on June 9, and will return at Bristol Motor Speedway on September 21.
We are closing in fast on 2024 Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway, and the confirmed entries for the NASCAR Cup Series Daytona 500, NASCAR Xfinity Series race and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race are starting to stack up.
As of January 24, 41 cars are confirmed as entering the Daytona 500, 36 are confirmed to be entering the NASCAR Xfinity Series race and 32 are confirmed to be entering the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event.
We have a list of all of the confirmed entries as well as potential entries that may still come to fruition before the official entry lists are revealed.
