Final 149 Laps of NASCAR Cup Series Race at Michigan Pushed to Monday at 11:00 AM ET
While it didn’t look likely that the NASCAR Cup Series drivers would make one lap on Sunday at Michigan International Speedway, the FireKeepers Casino 400 did actually go green after a several-hours-long rain delay.
However, after the conclusion of Stage 1, the weather once again swarmed the race track, and that would signal the death blow to the day’s on-track activity. NASCAR was forced to postpone the conclusion of Sunday’s race until Monday morning. The race, which finished 51 laps on Sunday, will continue at 11AM ET on Monday. USA/NBC Sports App will still provide the television coverage while MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will still have the radio call of the event.
Chase Elliott is currently scored as the leader of the race.

Dow Extends Partnership with Richard Childress Racing and Austin Dillon
Dow, which has served as a primary sponsorship partner for Richard Childress Racing since Austin Dillon began as a part-time NASCAR Cup Series competitor in 2013, will return as a partner of the driver and team through at least 2025.
“Dow’s relationship has been one of the most personal and authentic relationships of my motorsports career,” said Dillon. “I’ve really enjoyed meeting Dow employees globally, some of which have become close friends. We’ve seen first-hand the power of the partnership with programs such as the Dow Salutes Veterans program growing each year, and customers from a variety of businesses finding value in their relationship with Dow through their at-track experience. Dow has supported me since day one in the NASCAR Cup Series, and it means a lot to know that Dow scientists are working behind the scenes to extract every ounce of speed we can from our Chevys. I’m proud to be associated with one of the world’s foremost materials science companies and will do my best to represent Dow both on and off track.”
Dow and RCR announced the contract extension in a press conference at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday morning.
Dirt Dominance, Sawalich Leads Wire To Wire For The Win At Springfield
There isn’t much more to say about Sunday’s ARCA Menards Series dirt race at the Illinois State Fairgrounds other than to say William Sawalich is really, really good. The youngster, who drives for Joe Gibbs Racing, started from the pole and led every lap on his path to a victory in an overtime finish in the event.
Female racers Isabella Robusto, and Taylor Reimer would finish second and third, and paired with Toni Breidinger (sixth) and Amber Balcaen (8th), the four women in the field made history. Sunday’s race was the first time in ARCA Menards Series history where four female drivers finished inside the top-10.
