Finish Line Motorsports Marketing Team Not Attempting Daytona 500; Aiming For Phoenix Debut

Saturday morning the NASCAR Twitter world was buzzing on the news from Bob Pockrass that a new NASCAR Cup Series team — Finish Line Motorsports Marketing — would be bringing a No. 80 car to attempt the Daytona 500 with JJ Yeley.
The new team confirmed to TobyChristie.com that they had decided against making the trek to Daytona, but that the team is aiming to make its debut at Phoenix Raceway on March 12th.
According to the team, they will field Ford Mustangs and JJ Yeley will indeed be the driver. Reaume Brothers Racing tweeted later in the afternoon that they are working with Finish Line to field the car.

David Starr Moves to Our Motorsports for Select Races in 2023 Xfinity Series

How about a little late-night announcement? Our Motorsports and David Starr announced that the 55-year-old driver will join the organization to drive select races in the team’s No. 02 entry in 2023.
The team made the announcement at 12:01 AM ET. Our Motorsports also stated that the No. 02 will be a full-time entry in 2023, while it will also field a part-time entry (No. 23) later in the season.
No full schedule was given for Starr, but he will run the season-opening race at Daytona with FOX News’ Special Report w/ Bret Baier as the primary sponsor.

DaaBIN Store Sponsoring Justin Haley, No. 10 Kaulig Xfinity Entry at Daytona

DaaBIN Store, which supported the No. 14 Kaulig Racing NASCAR Xfinity Series entry with Justin Haley at Daytona last Summer, will be the primary sponsor of the team’s No. 10 All-Star NASCAR Xfinity Series entry in the season-opener at Daytona this season.
Haley, who has four NASCAR Xfinity Series wins at Superspeedways, will be the driver for the event.
In addition to Haley, the All-Star Kaulig No. 10 entry has already announced Austin Dillon, AJ Allmendinger, and Kyle Busch as drivers for the 2023 season.
