Video: Denny Hamlin Crashes to Bring Out Late-Race Caution at Sonoma
Martin Truex Jr. needed Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway to run green to the finish. He had a large lead, and it looked like he was safely going to win the race.
On Lap 92, Hamlin caught the inside wall in Turn 11, and then on corner exit, Hamlin caught the outside wall on the frontstretch. As Hamlin contacted the wall, his No. 11 car spun out and he collided with the inside wall. In the process, Hamlin’s car suffered a broken toe link.

No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR Garage 56 Entry Finishes 39th in 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans
The No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR Garage 56 entry had a great showing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Drivers Mike Rockenfeller, Jenson Button and Jimmie Johnson drove a near-flawless race and the car had no issues for the majority of the race.
In the overnight hours, the car had moved well inside the top-30 in the running order, and was actually ahead of every car in the GT class of the race. A drive line issue late in the event caused the team to go to the garage for around an hour in repairs, but the repairs were made at the car finished 39th overall in the 62-car field.

Marc-Antoine Camirand Comes Out on Top in Hard-Fought Battle With Lapcevich at Chaudiere
Treyten Lapcevich, who entered the day with two wins in the opening two races of the 2023 NASCAR Pinty’s Series season, dominated Saturday’s Bud Light 300 at Autodrome Chaudiere. However, while Lapcevich dominated, defending NASCAR Pinty’s Series champion Marc-Antoine Camirand, and Lapcevich’s now budding rival, came out on top.
In a spirited battle for the win over the last five laps, which was set up by a late-race restart thanks to a spin by Thomas Nepveu in Turn 1 with roughly 11 laps to go, Camirand executed some textbook short track moves to snag the lead away from Lapcevich.
