Ty Majeski, No. 98 ThorSport Team Hit With L2 Penalty Post-Milwaukee
NASCAR handed out an L2 penalty to Ty Majeski and the No. 98 ThorSport Racing team after infractions were discovered on the Ford F-150 in pre-race inspection for Sunday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Clean Harbors 175 at The Milwaukee Mile.
As a result of the penalty, Majeski and the No. 98 team have been docked 75 championship driver and owner points (will not carry over each round) and five Playoff Points (do carry over to each round of the Playoffs). Crew Chief Joe Shear was also fined $25,000 and will be suspended for four NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship points events.
The No. 98 team was found to be in violation of Sections 14.16.1.A&C of the NASCAR Rule Book, which pertains to wheel assembly. According to NASCAR.com, the infraction specifically had to do with the valve stem on the right rear tire, which was confiscated.

The three Alpha Prime Racing teams in the NASCAR Xfinity Series will throw it back to the year 2000 this weekend at Darlington Raceway, as the organization pays tribute to Petty Enterprises.
Ryan Ellis will pilot a No. 43 machine, which looks like John Andretti’s 2000 Cheerios car. Dawson Cram will run the No. 44, which will be painted like Kyle Petty’s 2000 ride, and Rajah Caruth will run the No. 45, which will be painted up like Adam Petty’s 2000 Sprint PCS car.
According to Alpha Prime’s creative director Ryan Pistana, the idea started with Rajah Caruth, who asked Kyle Petty for permission to run the Adam Petty throwback scheme.
