Rick Hendrick Praises Work Ethic of William Byron; Says No. 24 Team Flying Under-The-Radar Heading Into Phoenix
NASCAR's William Byron faces a crucial moment at the season finale in Phoenix, competing as a member of the Championship 4. At just 25, he's the youngest contender and could become the third-youngest Cup Series champion. Byron's rapid rise, from Legends Cars to the Cup Series in six years, showcases his determination and work ethic, according to Hendrick Motorsports team owner Rick Hendrick.
Despite an impressive record with six 2023 Cup Series wins, Byron has remained somewhat under the radar due to his modest, professional demeanor. Team owner Rick Hendrick believes Byron's journey is an inspiring story for NASCAR and aspiring young athletes. To claim his first Cup Series title, Byron will need to outshine strong competitors, including Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, and Christopher Bell, in the Phoenix showdown.
