LEGACY MOTOR CLUB Names Ben Beshore as 2024 Crew Chief for John Hunter Nemechek
In 2023, Ben Beshore and John Hunter Nemechek paired to score seven victories in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the duo made a Championship 4 appearance. As Nemechek transitions to full-time NASCAR Cup Series racing with LEGACY MOTOR CLUB in 2024, the potent pairing will remain intact.
On Monday, LMC announced Ben Beshore as the crew chief for the No. 42 team and driver John Hunter Nemechek.
“I’m excited to join LEGACY MOTOR CLUB and continue working with John Hunter in the Cup Series – we had so much success last season,” Beshore said in a team release. “I’m looking forward to helping build this program into a perennial contender that can compete at the highest level possible each and every week.”
Beshore is a 15-time race-winning crew chief in the NASCAR Xfinity Series ranks, and he has three wins as a crew chief in the NASCAR Cup Series.

2023 Mechanix Wear Most Valuable Pit Crew Award Goes to No. 6 RFK Racing Team
The No. 6 RFK Racing pit crew has been named the winner of the 2023 Mechanix Wear Most Valuable Pit Crew Award.
Dustin Lineback (Jackman), Telvin McClurkin (Tire Carrier), Johnny Roberts (Front Tire Changer), Steve Price (Rear Tire Changer), and Brad Robison (Fueler) were a crucial component in Brad Keselowski’s Playoff push in 2023.
The Award takes into account the M-pact score for pit crews. Factors that contribute to a pit crew's M-pact score include average four-tire pit stop times, a multiplier based on net passes for position under yellow-flag pit stops, as well as a "Strength of Schedule" component to adjust for the level of competition a team is racing on pit road.
The way the net passes multiplier works is that the multiplier is increased for each car a team passes on pit road during a yellow-flag pit stop, and the multiplier is decreased for each car a pit crew gets passed by on those types of stops.
