Layne Riggs Takes Control Late to Win Truck Race at Pocono
The planets aligned perfectly for Layne Riggs on Friday, which allowed the Front Row Motorsports driver to collect his third career win in the MillerTech 200 at Pocono Raceway.
Riggs, who started from the pole for the first time in his career, won the opening Stage, and turned the fastest lap of the race, but it took a bit of circumstance in the final Stage for the driver of the No. 34 Ford F-150 to emerge as the top contender.
Heading into the final restart of the race, Corey Heim cut a right rear tire, which forced him to pit road after the race went green. On that same restart, Carson Hocevar would be flagged for jumping the start. This handed the outright lead, and win, to Riggs on a silver platter.

Stenhouse Confirms Spotter Tab Boyd Has Been Let Go by HYAK Motorsports

“You know, obviously, that’s an unfortunate deal. The team let Tab Boyd go this week, and we got Clayton Hughes to come fill in,” Stenhouse said. “I’ve never worked with Clayton. You know, obviously, I think the concern for me is trying to get on the same page as quick as we can…”
While no definitive reason for the firing has been given, Boyd did fire off a controversial post on his now-deleted X account while he was in Mexico City for the Viva Mexico 250.
In a post on X on June 14, Boyd stated, “I’m ready to go home, screw this place, people can talk it up all they want… can’t even walk out the front door of the hotel without getting hustled and money snatched….in less than 5 minutes. Good area my ass….”
