Kyle Larson Emerges Victorious in Closest Finish in NASCAR Cup Series History
Okay, I feel like we’ve officially seen it all, folks. Kyle Larson took a thrilling win in the closest finish in NASCAR Cup Series history in Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. The finish was so close that NASCAR’s timing and scoring initially gave the win to Chris Buescher. However, after a second look at the replay, it was determined that Larson crossed the finish line first — BARELY.
Officially, the victory margin was 0.001 sec.
Larson’s bid for the win was saved by a late caution for Kyle Busch spinning as he radioed to his team that he felt he had a corded tire. The caution re-racked things, and Larson had just enough to score the victory — his second of 2024, and 25th of his NASCAR Cup Series career.
