Sammy Smith Defends Against Ryan Truex for First Career Xfinity Series Win at Phoenix

Sammy Smith led a race-high 92 on his path to his first-career NASCAR Xfinity Series race. The 18-year-old looked unstoppable down the stretch and he pulled away to defeat his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Ryan Truex for the win.
Behind Smith and Truex were Sheldon Creed, Riley Herbst, and Chandler Smith. Smith was running third on the final lap, but an incident with his Kaulig Racing teammate Kyle Busch relegated him to finish fifth.

Kyle Larson Continues Stellar Weekend with Cup Series Pole at Phoenix

Kyle Larson has dominated the NASCAR Cup Series weekend so far at Phoenix Raceway. He paced practice and led every average consecutive-lap metric. The Hendrick Motorsports driver followed that up by destroying the field in round 1 of Saturday’s qualifying session, and scoring the pole with the top time in Round 2.

D.L. Wilson Evaluated for Concussion, Broken Ribs, and Sternum Issues After a Late Race Crash in the General Tire 150

D.L. Wilson, who was involved in a late-race crash in Friday’s ARCA Menards Series event at Phoenix Raceway was transported to the hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash.
On Saturday, Wilson’s Fast Track Racing team gave an update on the driver’s condition. Wilson was, “evaluated for a concussion, broken ribs, and damage to the sternum.” According to the team, Wilson is in good spirits and his wife is there with him.
