There was a significant announcement regarding the driver lineup for the Kaulig Racing NASCAR Xfinity Series program for the 2023 season on Wednesday, as Landon Cassill, who had previously been announced as the full-time driver of the No. 10 entry, announced that he would no longer be full-time this season.
In a statement released to social media, Cassil said, “Unfortunately, I won’t be driving the 10 car full time this year. However, my quest to win in NASCAR continues. Sponsorships drive my business, and my sponsors over the last two years have been through a lot. Rebuilding will be my top priority.”
Cassill was sponsored primarily by Voyager, a cryptocurrency trading platform, in 2022. Voyager filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2022.

Chandler Smith, who will run the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro for Kaulig Racing for the full 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, announced on Wednesday that he will also attempt to compete in the 2023 Daytona 500 for the organization in the No. 13 Chevrolet Camaro with sponsorship from Quick Tie.
Additionally, Smith will attempt the NASCAR Cup Series events at Richmond in the spring, The All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro, Talladega Superspeedway in October and the season-finale at Phoenix Raceway.
Ryan Vargas, who ran the majority of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season primarily with JD Motorsports, announced that he will pilot the No. 30 On Point Motorsports entry for seven races during the 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.
Vargas will make his On Point debut at Atlanta Motor Speedway in March and will then run Darlington in May, Nashville in June, Mid-Ohio in July, Richmond in July, Talladega in September, and Homestead in October.
The 22-year-old, who has 67 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts to his name, has never competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series before 2023.
