TC Daily Pit Stop: Kyle Busch Steals Truck Win From Heim, 100th Win For KBM; Austin Hill Gets it Done in Xfinity Race at Pocono; Byron on Cup Pole; Sunday's TV Schedule
TC Daily Pit Stop: Sunday, July 23rd, 2023
Corey Heim, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series point leader, had the lead of Saturday’s CRC Brakleen 150 at Pocono Raceway, and as the race entered it’s final lap, it appeared Kyle Busch’s bid to personally score the 100th win for Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2023 had evaporated.
But then, Busch got a massive run off of Turn 1, and knifed to the inside of Heim heading into the treacherous Tunnel Turn. Somehow, Busch was able to make his No. 51 truck stick, and he pulled off the daring pass for the win.
Busch said he made the move because he just needed to get the 100th win for KBM over with.

With eight laps remaining in Saturday’s NASCAR Truck race, Carson Hocevar made a bold three-wide move on Kaz Grala and Parker Kligerman. The move turned out to not be such a good decision. And the end result was a 12-car melee, which brought out a red flag.
Austin Hill just keeps winning. After rising to the occasion in the closing laps of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Pocono, Hill now has four wins on the season.
Josh Berry, who is still in search of his first win of the year, had the lead heading into the final restart. But Berry overshot Turn 1 on the final restart of the day, which gave the top spot to Hill. Hill took the gift and ran with it.
As Hill went on to win, Berry wound up crashing after cutting a tire on the last lap of the race.
William Byron is a pole sitter once again. His latest pole run, which came at Pocono Raceway on Saturday, marks his third of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season. Byron, who has been swapping the regular season point lead with Martin Truex Jr. over the last several weeks, will have Truex lined up to his outside at the start of the HighPoint.com 400 on Sunday.
