TC Daily Pit Stop: Kris Wright, Our Motorsports Part Ways; Legge Adds Brickyard 400 to Schedule
TC Daily Pit Stop: Wednesday, July 16th, 2025
Kris Wright, Our Motorsports Agree to Part Ways
Kris Wright and the No. 5 Our Motorsports team have agreed to part ways. Wright confirmed to TobyChristie.com on Tuesday that he will not return to the team.
Kaz Grala is currently listed on the entry list as the driver that will take over the driving duties of the No. 5 Chevrolet this weekend at Dover Motor Speedway.
Wright qualified for 18 of the 19 races in the No. 5 Chevrolet this season, notably missing out on making the field at the Chicago Street Race a couple of weeks ago. The DNQ is notable because Wright claimed that he was a road course ringer when he first joined the NASCAR National Series ranks.
The 30-year-old collected his career-best finish, a ninth-place result, at Martinsville Speedway earlier this year.

Katherine Legge to Run Double-Duty at Indianapolis
Katherine Legge, who was already set to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, has officially added the prestigious Brickyard 400 to her NASCAR Cup Series schedule this season.
“It’s always an honor to drive at Indy, but having the chance to compete in both the Cup and Xfinity races thanks to Desnuda and Droplight is going to be epic,” said Legge. “After racing in the Indianapolis 500 in [2023 and 2024], I definitely felt a void not being there this year. But adding races to my schedule is exactly what I’ve been working toward – competing in as many events as possible and logging as many laps as I can. I’m incredibly thankful to Team Chevy and my partners at Desnuda, Droplight, and e.l.f. Cosmetics for making my return to the Brickyard extra special.”
Legge will pilot the No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports Chevrolet as she joins Danica Patrick as the only female racers to ever compete in the Brickyard 400. Patrick competed in five editions of the crown jewel event, the first in 2013.
Patrick recorded a best finish of 11th in the Brickyard 400 in 2017, Legge will look to see if she can rival that 11th-place run.
