Katherine Legge Making Cup Debut with Live Fast at Phoenix
Katherine Legge has teamed up with part-time NASCAR Cup Series organization Live Fast Motorsports to compete in Sunday’s Shriners Children’s 500 at Phoenix Raceway.
The native of Guildford, England will pilot the No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports Chevrolet in her NASCAR Cup Series debut on Sunday, March 9, with DROPLiGHT serving as the primary sponsor of the effort.
When the green flag is displayed for Sunday’s 312-lap contest in Avondale, Arizona, Legge will become the first woman to make a NASCAR Cup Series start since 2018, when Danica Patrick wrapped up her NASCAR career in the DAYTONA 500.

Shane van Gisbergen Takes Rookie Point Lead with 6th-Place Run at COTA
Shane van Gisbergen, who suffered crashes in the opening two races of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season at Daytona and Atlanta, finally had a clean race in Sunday’s EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas, and he walked away with a solid sixth-place finish.
The New Zealand native was able to avoid a lot of the carnage in the final handful of laps to secure his first top-10 finish, and the best finish by a NASCAR Cup Series rookie so far this season. On the strength of the run, SVG will head into this weekend’s Shriners Children’s 500 at Phoenix Raceway in a position he hasn’t been yet, the lead of the NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year standings.
