According to a report from Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic, Homestead-Miami Speedway is expected to be the venue of NASCAR Championship Weekend during the 2026 season.

Homestead served as the championship venue from 2002 to 2019, but was replaced as the finale site by Phoenix Raceway for the 2020 season. The championship weekend has been held at Phoenix ever since.

Bianchi reports that NASCAR will move the finale to a new track in each of the next five seasons.

2026 NASCAR Hall of Fame Ballot Announced; Busch, LaJoie Added to Modern Era Ballot

On Monday, NASCAR revealed the 15 nominees for the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2026, as well as the five nominees for the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR.

Appearing on the modern era ballot for the first time are 2004 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kurt Busch, and two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Randy LaJoie.

Additionally, Humpy Wheeler, the longtime President and General Manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway has been added to the nominees list for the Landmark Award.

There are 41 cars, which will battle it out for the 38 spots in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega.
