Corey Heim Back in Championship 4 With Record-Breaking Comeback Win at Roval
Corey Heim made NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series history on Friday at the Charlotte Roval, securing his record-breaking 10th win of the 2025 season in dramatic fashion.
After being caught in a Turn 1 crash on the opening lap, Heim’s No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota sustained damage and dropped through the field. But with resilience and smart strategy, Heim capitalized on teammate Brent Crews’ late-race fuel issues to win the EcoSave 250, locking himself into the Championship 4 for the third consecutive year.
Despite the victory, the road to the win was far from easy. Heim’s teammate, Brent Crews, appeared on track for his first career win before being forced to pit for fuel under a late caution. That handed the lead to Heim, who held on through an overtime finish over Crews.
TRICON Garage swept the podium with Gio Ruggiero finishing third, while Rajah Caruth and Connor Zilisch rounded out the top five. Kaden Honeycutt swept the race’s first two stages and salvaged points despite a late-race spin, while playoff tension intensified elsewhere in the field.

Riggs Rages After Enfinger Wrecks Him Again: ‘Veterans Race Worse Than Anyone’
Layne Riggs’ Playoff hopes took a major hit in Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series EcoSave 250 at the Charlotte Roval, where a first-lap crash dropped him from 22 points above the cutline to one point below it.
Starting second, Riggs was sent into the leader Corey Heim by Grant Enfinger in Turn 1, breaking the sway bar on Riggs’ truck and severely affecting its handling the rest of the race. Despite the damage, Riggs was running inside the top-10 before a mechanical issue on the final restart dropped him to 21st.
After the race, Riggs didn’t hold back his frustration, blasting Enfinger for the contact. He called out the veteran for poor decision-making and referenced a similar incident earlier this season at Watkins Glen, accusing Enfinger of going back on an earlier apology. “That’s twice this year we’ve gotten wrecked by the 9 truck… two blatantly wrong [moves] on his part,” Riggs said. “I have a lot of choice words for how the initial start played out.”
Now, below the Playoff cutline with only Talladega and Martinsville remaining in the Round of 8, Riggs knows the road ahead is unpredictable. Still, he remains focused, citing the team’s speed and preparation. “We’ve just got to keep our heads high,” he said. “If we get in, we get in. It’s fate, and we did everything we could.”

Wait… Did Carson Hocevar Actually Buy a Chili’s?
Did Carson Hocevar just become the proud new owner of a Chili’s in his hometown of Portage, Michigan? That’s what he’s claiming, and the internet is having a field day with it.
After a local radio station speculated that the location might be in danger of closing, the NASCAR Cup Series driver, who also happens to pilot the No. 77 Chili’s-sponsored car, fired off a Facebook post announcing he had bought the restaurant. Not long after, he followed it up with a video laying out some... let’s just say, unique renovation plans.
From NASCAR-themed paint to go-kart ramps and a slip-and-slide for seniors, this story only gets more ridiculous the deeper you go. So, did he actually buy a Chili’s? Or is this just another masterclass in Hocevar’s ongoing internet trolling?
