Denny Hamlin Undergoes Successful Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery
Denny Hamlin has undergone a successful arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder, per a press release from Joe Gibbs Racing sent out Wednesday. The 43-year-old racer is expected to make a full recovery to start the 2024 Cup Series campaign.
According to The Mayo Clinic, Arthroscopy is a procedure for diagnosing and treating joint problems. A surgeon inserts a narrow tube attached to a fiber-optic video camera through a small incision – about the size of a buttonhole.
Dr. Patrick Connor performed the surgery on Wednesday, November 22nd at Charlotte Surgery Center.

Matt DiBenedetto Looking for Sponsorship; Nothing Secured Yet for 2024
After announcing his departure from Rackley WAR at the end of August, Matt DiBenedetto hasn’t yet made any announcement regarding his plans for 2024, two months removed from his final start with the organization.
Despite his significant experience in each of NASCAR’s top-three divisions, the Grass Valley, California-native hasn’t yet been tapped in the sport’s annual silly season ride shuffle, largely due to a chronic lack of funding.
“There are some passionate individuals that really want to know what I’m doing next year,” DiBenedetto said. “I promise, I’m not leaving anybody in the dark. Full transparency, everything’s good in our world. No, I’m not retiring – you guys aren’t getting rid of me that easy. Racing runs through my blood. I love NASCAR, I love driving in circles for a living, so I’m not going anywhere.”
Treyten Lapcevich Doesn’t Feel Return to NASCAR Canada Series is Feasible in 2024
As Treyten Lapcevich prepares for his first-ever run in the prestigious Snowball Derby Super Late Model race, the 19-year-old racer took time out to talk to TobyChristie.com in a wide-ranging interview.
The native of Grimsby, Ontario, Canada enjoyed an absolutely dominant season during the 2023 NASCAR Pinty’s Series campaign, where he racked up seven wins over the 14-race season, he led more laps (1,149) than anybody has ever led in a single NASCAR Pinty’s season, and he took home the championship.
However, despite the championship, issues finding funding have Lapcevich feeling that a return to the newly rebranded NASCAR Canada Series is not a viable option in 2024.
“I think the big thing is funding,” Lapcevich explained. “There are opportunities for me to go South, and opportunities for me to return to the Pinty’s Series as well. But it wasn’t a secret at the start of this last season that we didn’t have enough funding to complete the full year. It’s been difficult the last three years, really. We’ve been grinding hard to get sponsors. I’m heavily involved in that myself and getting all of the marketing materials, but it’s been tough. It’s tough to do it again next year. The prices just keep rising and rising. A return to the Pinty’s Series next year just doesn’t quite look feasible right now. I think we’re going to try to see what we can come up with. Like I said, there’s talks, but just nothing currently.”
