Carson Hocevar to Pilot LMC No. 42 at Darlington Raceway
LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, who have been filling out the season with a rotating driver roster for its No. 42 team, will utilize Carson Hocevar as a driver this weekend in the Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.
The 20-year-old racer impressed in his NASCAR Cup Series debut for Spire Motorsports a few months back in the World Wide Technology Raceway, as he ran as high as the top-15 before a brake failure ended his race.
Hocevar will lean heavily on LMC teammate Erik Jones, who won last year’s Southern 500 at Darlington, and is one of the best in the sport at the track.

Team Penske Swapping Crew Chiefs for Austin Cindric and Harrison Burton
Austin Cindric, who drives the No. 2 Team Penske entry, and Harrison Burton, who drives the No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing entry, both missed the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. With both drivers out of the championship hunt, Team Penske and Wood Brothers Racing have elected to swap crew chiefs for the two teams in efforts of gaining additional performance for the 2024 season.
Cindric will now be paired with Brian Wilson, who he scored 13 wins and a championship with in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Jeremy Bullins will now serve as the crew chief for Burton, and that change will also serve as a reunion, as Bullins was a crew chief for the team from 2015 to 2017 with Ryan Blaney. Bullins helped Blaney to the win at Pocono Raceway in 2017, the organization’s 99th victory. Now, Bullins looks to move the team to the magical 100th win mark.

Cole Butcher Goes Back-to-Back for Golden Oxford 250 Win
Cole Butcher reached rarified air on Sunday evening as he became the first back-to-back winner of the prestigious Oxford 250 in nearly a decade. Butcher took the lead for the final time with a pass on Lap 224 of Joey Doiron, and he wouldn’t look back.
It was a big rally for Butcher, who was sent to the rear of the field on Lap 7, after spinning Jimmy Renfrew Jr. for the race lead. The Nova Scotia native joins Geoff Bodine, Ralph Nason, Ben Rowe, Eddie MacDonald, and Travis Benjamin as back-to-back winners of the Oxford 250.
