Late-Race Restart Foils Ty Gibbs’ Plan to Become Youngest-Ever Clash Winner
Ty Gibbs led a race-high 84 laps in Saturday night’s Busch Light Clash at the LA Memorial Coliseum, and had it not been for miscues on late-race restarts, he very well could have become the youngest winner in the history of the exhibition event, which spans back to 1979.
However, it wasn’t meant to be as he tangled with Joey Logano on a restart with 10 laps to go, which caused him to lose the lead, and then with two laps to go, he was sent spinning by Kyle Larson.
Gibbs would finish a disappointing 18th.

Whelen Modified Tour Star Justin Bonsignore Joins Rette Jones Racing For Daytona
Justin Bonsignore, a three-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion, will run the ARCA Menards Series season-opener in the No. 30 Ford Mustang for Rette Jones Racing.
Bonsignore took part in the ARCA ‘Road to Daytona’ program, which gives select drivers from touring and regional series the chance to drive the high banks at Daytona in an ARCA Menards Series test session.
Bonsignore tested at Daytona in a Fast Track Racing car back in January.
