Stewart Friesen Collects NASCAR Truck Win in Whacky Triple-Overtime Finish at Michigan
In what had been a rough luck season for Stewart Friesen, one where the driver had contemplated multiple times if it was even worth competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series anymore, he was rewarded for sticking with it.
In Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series DQS Solutions and Staffing 250 at Michigan International Speedway, which featured seven cautions in the final Stage of the event, Friesen was able to work his way around Grant Enfinger for the race lead on the final restart of a triple-overtime finish.
Friesen came back to the finish line first to collect his fourth win of his NASCAR Truck Series career, which broke a 72-race winless streak. With it, Friesen secured his place in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs.
