TC Daily Pit Stop: Everything Happens All At Once
TC Daily Pit Stop: Saturday, November 15, 2025
Boy, oh boy, Friday was a busy day — by NASCAR offseason standards, when it comes to news items dropping. It almost felt like with each passing breaking news item, someone started feeling FOMO and just had to drop their news as well.
The positive side of it? We have a lot to digest from Friday’s news dump! Here’s a breakdown of it all:
Friday morning started with the news that Josh Williams, who started the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season as the driver of the No. 11 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet, will once again return to DGM Racing as the driver of the team’s No. 92 Chevrolet for the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season.
Joining Williams will be veteran crew chief Steve Addington, who is a 20-time NASCAR Cup Series and 11-time NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race-winning crew chief.

With the Camaro being out of production since 2023, it seemed Chevrolet would have to select another car in its offerings of vehicles to field in the series. However, by offering a new Carbon Performance Package for existing Chevrolet Camaros, Chevrolet was able to keep the Camaro ZL1 rolling for another year with slight tweaks.
The most prominent changes to the body style for the upcoming season include a larger hood power dome, a revised front grille, and a more pronounced rocker panel along the sides of the car. All of these changes mirror the new Carbon Performance Package’s carbon-fiber hood insert and rockers, as well as the ZL1 1LE-spec front grille and splitter.
JR Motorsports made a pair of announcements on Friday. In the morning, the team confirmed its full crew chief lineup for the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season.
As previously announced, Rodney Childers will serve as the crew chief for the No. 1 team with drivers Connor Zilisch and Carson Kvapil. Andrew Overstreet will move from the No. 1 car to serve as the successor to Jim Pohlman for the No. 7 team and driver Justin Allgaier. Cory Shea will move from a part-time role with the No. 9 team in 2025 to serve as the crew chief for Sammy Smith and the No. 8 team. Phillip Bell will move from the No. 8 car to the No. 9, where he will work with Ross Chastain, Shane van Gisbergen, and others. And Mardy Lindley will return as the crew chief for the No. 88 team, which has only announced Rajah Caruth as part of its driver lineup thus far.
In the evening, JR Motorsports announced that it will once again attempt to make the field for the NASCAR Cup Series Daytona 500 in 2026 with Justin Allgaier driving the No. 40 Travellers Whiskey Chevrolet.Grillo’s Pickles will return as a primary sponsorship partner for the Front Row Motorsports NASCAR Cup Series team in 2026. Grillo’s will be a four-race primary for Todd Gilliland (Atlanta 1, Coca-Cola 600, San Diego, Daytona 2) and also one race for Noah Gragson (Talladega 1).
And NASCAR confirmed a slew of technical changes for the 2026 season, including the mandatory implementation of the A-Post flap, which was used at superspeedways in 2025, at every track next season for the NASCAR Cup Series.
