Eddie Gossage, Longtime Texas Motor Speedway Track President Dead at 65
Eddie Gossage, who served as the GM/Track President of Texas Motor Speedway from 1996 until his retirement in 2021, has passed away at the age of 65. Speedway Motorsports issued a press release confirming the news on Thursday evening.
Gossage was a prolific promoter and was a legendary piece of the NASCAR world for more than 30 years. The promotion that put Gossage on the map was the 1992 NASCAR All-Star Race, which was billed “One Hot Night.”

Phoenix Raceway to Host NASCAR Championship Weekend Again in 2025
Phoenix Raceway will return for another season of hosting the championships for the NASCAR National Series as the 1-mile oval in Avondale, Arizona was named the championship venue for the 2025 season on Thursday.
2025 will mark the sixth consecutive season that Phoenix Raceway will serve as the host track for NASCAR’s championship weekend.
