Drivers Encouraged by Tire Test at Repaved North Wilkesboro Speedway
Joey Logano, Ty Gibbs, and William Byron took part in a Goodyear tire test at North Wilkesboro Speedway, and all three drivers came away impressed by the new surface on the race track. Additionally, Logano says characteristic bumps in Turn 1 and on the exit of Turn 4 remain following the repave, which he considers a good thing because the track retains its classic character despite having a fresh layer of asphalt.
William Byron says that while repaved intermediate tracks don’t typically offer much excitement for several years, he feels with this being a short track, the repave could lead to a wild and chaotic All-Star Race in May.

MBM Motorsports Making Cup Return with Timmy Hill at COTA
The MBM Motorsports NASCAR Cup Series program has been out of action since the spring of 2022 — that is about to change. The team will field the No. 66 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the upcoming EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas with driver Timmy Hill behind the wheel.
Hill, who is in the midst of a full-time campaign in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with his own Hill Motorsports team, has 141 NASCAR Cup Series starts through the course of his career.

Costa Oil Returns as Two-Race Primary Sponsor for Ryan Ellis, Alpha Prime Racing
Costa Oil, a longtime partner of Ryan Ellis and the No. 43 Alpha Prime Racing team, will return for its third season of partnership. The company will serve as a two-race primary sponsor for Ellis this season. The black and gold Costa Oil colors will adorn the No. 43 machine at Martinsville (April 6) and Dover (April 27).
“We’re extremely proud that Costa has returned for a third season with our team,” Ellis said. “Not only has he been a sponsor every year that I’ve been at Alpha Prime, but more importantly, he’s become a friend. The Costa Oil brand has been a lot of fun to work with. Costa loves keeping the schemes fresh, and I know that NASCAR fans love seeing that variation.”

Final Entry List Announced for Ward Burton’s Return to Racing
Ward Burton has set his return to driving a race car as he’ll compete in the March 28 Orange Krush 200 at Orange County Speedway as he’ll race against his son Jeb Burton and a star-studded lineup of drivers. On Thursday, Orange Country Speedway released the final entry list for the upcoming late model stock race.
Notable names on the list include Jeremy Mayfield, Brent Crews, Mason Diaz, Kaden Honeycutt, Landon Huffman, Deac McCaskill, Bobby McCarty, and Timothy Peters.
