REPORTS: Dover to Serve as All-Star Venue? Iowa in Jeopardy?
We are swiftly approaching the anticipated release of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, and a pair of reports this week have shed some light on some unexpected changes that we could see on the final copy of the schedule.
Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic cited sources familiar with discussions that say NASCAR is debating moving Dover Motor Speedway to be the venue of the All-Star Race in 2026, which would lead to North Wilkesboro Speedway hosting its first NASCAR Cup Series points-paying race since 1996.
Additionally, Kelly Crandall of Racer reports that Iowa Speedway’s placement on the 2026 schedule could be in doubt.

Jack Wood Out For Richmond Truck Race; No. 91 MHR Team Withdraws
Jack Wood, who is nursing an undisclosed injury sustained in a crash last weekend at Watkins Glen International, will not compete in Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series eero 250 at Richmond Raceway as a precautionary measure.
As a result, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing has withdrawn the No. 91 Chevrolet Silverado from the entry list of Friday’s race, which brings us to just 35 trucks on the official entry list for the event.
