Truck Series Team Owner, Racer Cory Roper Indefinitely Suspended by NASCAR

Cory Roper, a former driver in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and co-owner and team manager of Roper Racing Team, has been indefinitely suspended by NASCAR.
Roper was suspended due to a violation of NASCAR’s Substance Abuse Policy, the sanctioning body announced on Wednesday. No additional reasoning or intel was provided.
Roper, 45, has competed in 45 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race throughout the course of his career behind the wheel. Roper has scored one top-five finish, a third-place finish at Daytona International Speedway in February 2021, and three top-10 finishes.
Roper’s team, Roper Racing attempted to qualify into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series 2023 season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway this past weekend, however the No. 04 truck did not make the show.

Kenny Wallace to Compete in SRX Season Finale at Lucas Oil Speedway
The Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) Series has been making numerous driver announcements for its upcoming 2023 season. On Tuesday, the series announced a new addition; Kenny Wallace will pilot a car in the season finale at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on Thursday, August 17th.
Wallace, the younger brother of NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace, is a nine-time winner in NASCAR Xfinity Series competition. Overall, Wallace ran a total of 904 events in the NASCAR National Series ranks (Cup, Xfinity and Truck) over the course of his career.
In a press release from SRX, Wallace says he’s proud to be a part of a racing series that he has truly become a fan of.
“I’ve always been a big fan of the SRX series because it’s good for racing in every way, and now that it’s on Thursday nights, it’s even better,” said Wallace. “I am truly honored and humbled at the same time to race with these world-class drivers. When you see me at an SRX event, I will be smiling from ear to ear and giving it everything I got on and off the racetrack.”
