Chandler Smith Inherits First Xfinity Victory of 2024 at Phoenix Raceway
Chandler Smith, who led every lap of the opening Stage of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Call811.com 200 at Phoenix Raceway, looked destined to finish in second as Justin Allgaier had an insurmountable lead with just five laps remaining.
Then, disaster struck for Allgaier as he crashed from the lead with a flat tire. Smith was able to capitalize and scored his first win of the 2024 season, and his second career NASCAR Xfinity Series victory.
Smith was able to hold off rookie contender Jesse Love and Sheldon Creed in an overtime restart for the triumph.

Denny Hamlin, Ty Gibbs Sweep Front Row at Phoenix for Joe Gibbs Racing
On Saturday, Denny delivered. The driver of the No. 11 Mavis Brakes Plus Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry XSE took the pole position for Sunday’s Shriners Children’s 500 at Phoenix Raceway.
It was Hamlin’s first pole of the 2024 season, and his 41st career pole in NASCAR Cup Series competition. Also, according to TobyChristie.com’s Joseph Srigley, Hamlin’s pole marked his first on a track one mile or less in length in a half-decade.
It was an all Joe Gibbs Racing front row, as Hamlin’s teammate Ty Gibbs will join him on the front row on Sunday.
