Carson Hocevar Continues Hot Streak; Collects Second Career Victory at Nashville
Over the last couple of months, it hasn’t mattered which series Carson Hocevar has been competing in, he’s been firing on all cylinders, a trend which continued in Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Nashville.
Hocevar, driving the No. 42 Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports, was able to lead the final 40 laps of Friday’s 200-mile contest en route to his second victory in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
However, the native of Portage, Michigan couldn’t just stroll to the victory, having to get up on the wheel during a three-lap shootout to the end of the race, which was triggered by an accident involving Stewart Friesen and Christian Eckes
Over the course of the event’s final four miles, Hocevar was able to maintain the lead, but faced a substantial challenge from Zane Smith, who finished second to Ryan Preece in this event one season ago.

Jake Drew Notches 12th-Place in Debut at Nashville; Hopeful for Future Truck Series Opportunities
Venturing into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for the first time, Friday’s Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway marked a number of new experiences for Jake Drew, the defending champion of the ARCA Menards Series West.
Making his NASCAR National Series debut at the 1.33-mile facility, Drew was afforded a 20-minute practice session to shake down his No. 66 Capstone Green Energy Ford F-150 while also attempting to absorb as much information as humanly possible.
On his sixth trip around the track, Drew posted a lap of 30.716 seconds, which by the end of the session would place him just inside the top-10, an impressive feat for any driver making their first laps in a truck.
Lawless Alan on Hailie Deegan: “She’s Talentless”
Lawless Alan has had enough of Hailie Deegan, who he has had multiple run-ins with on track over the course of his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career. Following another run-in on Lap 5, and then an eventual exit from the race on Lap 7 in Friday’s Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway, the driver of the No. 45 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado did not hold back on Deegan.
After being evaluated and released from the infield care center, Alan spoke to Jared Haas of Frontstretch.com, and he was in absolute disbelief at the accident between himself and Deegan, which ruined what was a race with plenty of potential.
