Confirmed: Cam Waters Adds Truck Race at Kansas to 2024 NASCAR Schedule
It’s official: Cam Waters is making another start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Waters, an 11-time Australian Supercars winner, will compete in the Heart of America 200 at Kansas Speedway (May 4). ThorSport Racing will once again be fielding the No. 66 Ford F-150 for the Mildura, Victoria-native, as he tackles his first race on a mile-and-a-half racetrack of any kind.
“It’s great to be getting another crack at racing the Ford truck for ThorSport and hopefully I can adapt to the Kansas Speedway reasonably quickly,” said Waters. “The track is almost three times as long as Martinsville and has an average lap speed of just on 180 mph, although I have heard it’s less of a bull ring than Martinsville was.”
TRADIE, the company that backed Waters in his NASCAR debut at Martinsville earlier this month, will return as the primary marketing partner of the entry.
“I’ll spend some more time in the simulator to accelerate the learning and look forward to the challenge,” Waters added. “I also appreciate some news services have already mention the Kansas race, but what nobody knew at the time was NASCAR have stringent criteria they apply to licensing for the high-speed venues, and I needed to get through Martinsville before I could be assessed for approval to run at Kansas. This has now been completed.”

NASCAR TV Schedule Friday, April 19 at Talladega Superspeedway
As we head into the busy race weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, which will contain the ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Cup Series races, Friday gets us all started off with a little bit of an appetizer.
The ARCA Menards Series will practice, and NASCAR Xfinity Series will take to the track for qualifying, although Xfinity Series qualifying will be the only session that is set to be televised on Friday afternoon.
