Byron Reached Out to Chastain Following Texas Crash; Drivers Haven’t Spoken Yet
William Byron has yet to speak to Ross Chastain following a last-lap dust-up between the two drivers last weekend in the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway. At a media availability on Tuesday, Byron stated that he has reached out to the driver of the No. 1 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and expects that the two will talk later this week.
“We haven’t spoken yet,” Byron admitted. “I reached out to him, but I’m sure we’ll get connected later this week.”

RTIC Coolers Joins JR Motorsports as Four-Race Primary Sponsor for Sam Mayer
Saturday’s photo-finish win at Texas Motor Speedway has seemingly opened the sponsorship floodgates for Sam Mayer and the No. 1 JR Motorsports NASCAR Xfinity Series team. On Wednesday, the team announced the addition of RTIC Coolers as a four-race primary sponsorship partner for Mayer and the team’s No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro.
According to a social media video post shared by JR Motorsports, RTIC will be the primary sponsor on the No. 1 car at Darlington Raceway on May 11, Portland International Raceway on June 1, Sonoma Raceway on June 8, and Pocono Raceway on July 13.
Wednesday’s announcement comes on the heels of a Tuesday announcement of the return of Huck’s Market as a primary sponsorship partner for the driver and team. Huck’s Market will be a two-race primary for Mayer.

3CHI to Return to Kyle Busch, RCR in Phoenix Championship Race
3CHI, which has served as a primary sponsor for the No. 8 Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Cup Series team for the last two seasons, will serve as a one-race primary sponsor for Kyle Busch this season. On its website, 3CHI cites the current political environment surrounding hemp-derived cannabinoids as the reason for the reduced primary schedule.
Kyle Busch and the No. 8 RCR team will carry the 3CHI colors in the NASCAR Cup Series championship race at Phoenix Raceway in November.
Before the start of the season, many speculated whether 3CHI would return to the No. 8 car as a primary sponsor in 2024, as the company had not been in any of the pre-season marketing materials from the Richard Childress Racing team. However, on February 13, Richard Childress Racing and 3CHI put the rumors to bed by announcing the continuation of their partnership for the new year.

Bubba Wallace and Wife Amanda Carter Expecting First Child
Congratulations are in order for Bubba Wallace and his wife Amanda (Carter) Wallace as the couple announced on Wednesday evening that they are expecting their first child.
In a post on X, Wallace posted three black and white photos of himself, his wife Amanda, and their beloved dog Asher. Accompanying the photos was a caption, which, along with the photos, delivered the news to his fans.
Wallace’s birthday is October 8th, which means the new bundle of joy will arrive during the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. The 30-year-old racer married his longtime girlfriend Amanda Carter in 2022.
Wallace, a native of Mobile, Alabama, is a two-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner, and his first-career win at Talladega Superspeedway in the fall of 2021, marked the first win for a black race car driver since Wendell Scott’s historic win back in 1964.
