Matt Kenseth to Return to SRX Racing in 2023 to Run at Eldora Speedway

Matt Kenseth, the 2003 NASCAR Cup Series champion and NASCAR Hall of Famer, will return to the SRX Racing Series during the 2023 season. Kenseth, who scored two podium finishes in three starts in the series in 2022, will compete in one race in 2023.
Surprisingly, Kenseth — a known pavement racer — will make his lone start on the dirt at Eldora. Kenseth, who ran the Tony Stewart Prelude to the Dream special event from 2005 to 2011 at Eldora, says that if he could have changed anything about his racing career, it would have been to run dirt earlier in his career.
The SRX Racing event at Eldora Speedway will take place on Thursday, August 10th and will be televised on ESPN.

Rajah Caruth to Pay Tribute to Wendell Scott With 1973 Talladega Throwback Scheme
PC: GMS Racing
Rajah Caruth will pilot a No. 24 truck that carries a special throwback scheme for the family of NASCAR trailblazer Wendell Scott. The red, white and blue paint scheme was the same scheme that Scott had on what he described as, “the best car I ever drove,” which was a 1971 Mercury Cyclone that he ran at Talladega Superspeedway in 1973.
While the scheme represents a dream for Scott, it equally represents a nightmare as Scott was horribly injured in a Lap 8 crash in that Talladega race in 1973. Determined to not let those injuries end his career, Scott battled back from multiple fractures in his leg, injuries to his knees, pelvis and ribs, to race one more time later that season before calling it a career.
Caruth will now look to give the paint scheme the good run that Scott had hoped for back in 1973.
