TC Daily Pit Stop: Brent Crews Forms New NASCAR Truck Series Team to Debut at Watkins Glen; LEGACY MOTOR CLUB Granted TRO Against Rick Ware Racing
TC Daily Pit Stop: Saturday, August 2nd, 2025
Brent Crews Motorsports Fielding No. 70 Truck at Watkins Glen
Brent Crews, a 17-year-old Toyota development driver, has announced the formation of his own NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team. The young racer will debut for his new team in next weekend’s event at Watkins Glen International.
Crews will pilot the No. 70 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro with primary sponsorship from Pristine Auction. The team will compete in select events after Watkins Glen, and Crews will serve as the primary driver of the entry. Additional partnerships and team personnel will be announced in the near future.
In the initial press release of the formation of the team, Brent Crews Motorsports announced fellow up-and-coming drivers Connor Zilisch, Jesse Love, and Jack Baldwin as part of the organization’s executive leadership team, but it turns out that was a joke among friends that somehow landed in the final draft of the press release.
The three drivers will not be part of the No. 70 team other than being cheerleaders from afar for their friend, Crews.

LEGACY MOTOR CLUB Granted 10-Day TRO to Prevent Closing of Rick Ware Racing Sale
In the latest chapter of the ongoing legal battle between LEGACY MOTOR CLUB and Rick Ware Racing, LMC was granted a 10-day temporary restraining order against RWR, which will prevent RWR from closing its $150 million sale to TJ Puchyr until the restraining order is lifted.
LMC is required to pay $5 million bond, and a preliminary injunction hearing will be forthcoming.
The two teams are locked in a legal battle over a Charter Sale agreement, which LMC initially alleged in a lawsuit that RWR had backed out of after the contracts had been signed and finalized by both parties. RWR countersued, saying that LMC was seeking the incorrect Charter and that the agreement between the two teams should be voided.
After LMC had a preliminary injunction request denied, the Associated Press reported that Rick Ware Racing had entered into an agreement to sell its NASCAR Cup Series program to TJ Puchyr, a former co-owner of Spire Motorsports.
