Christian Eckes Wins Phoenix in Quadruple Overtime; Ben Rhodes Captures Second Title

Corey Heim Says Late Wreck at Phoenix ‘Wasn’t Retaliation’ on Carson Hocevar
While it certainly looked like Corey Heim exacted revenge on Carson Hocevar with three laps remaining in regulation of Friday night’s NASCAR Truck race, Heim contends that he did not intentionally retaliate. Heim says he lost side force on his No. 11 Toyota Tundra, which sent him into Hocevar.
“We always had a shot, we were on the lead lap, we just had no sideforce,” Heim said about the final laps of the race. “He put it on my door when he was passing me and I just lost control. Unfortunate for us and unfortunate for them, but it’s part of it. You can go look at the right rear over there it’s destroyed, so as soon as he put it on my door, I lost control.”
