Bayley Currey finally gets his chance at a full-time ride in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in a very competitive ride. The 26-year-old journeyman was announced on Thursday as the full-time driver of Niece Motorsports’ No. 41 Chevrolet Silverado for the 2024 season.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to race for Niece Motorsports full-time next season,” said Currey in a team press release. “Al [Niece] and everyone at Niece Motorsports have always been good to me, so it means a lot to get to race for them next year. I’ve been working in the shop for the majority of this season, so I’ve seen firsthand the preparation that goes into bringing quality Chevrolets to the track every week. I’m looking forward to running up front and contending for wins.”
In 10 starts for the team this season, Currey has racked up three top-five finishes and four top-10s.
Derek Kraus, who has been super impressive in part-time roles in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series this season, will pilot a second Spire Motorsports Truck Series entry (No. 77) in the season-finale at Phoenix Raceway next weekend.
Kraus will carry primary sponsorship from Western States Flooring in the Lucas Oil 150.
The 22-year-old racer scored an eighth-place finish in the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at The Milwaukee Mile earlier this season, and he has three top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Xfinity Series through seven starts this year with Kaulig Racing.
Danny Stockman, a long-time veteran crew chief who has captured championships in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, will officially be paired with 18-year-old racer Jesse Love at Richard Childress Racing during the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
Love and Stockman will makeup the key cogs for the No. 2 team for RCR.
With Austin Dillon as his driver, Stockman won the 2011 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship and 2013 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship in his previous stint at Richard Childress Racing.
On Friday, October 27th, the NASCAR Xfinity Series will get the weekend of action at Martinsville Speedway underway as the series will knock out practice and qualifying for Saturday’s Dead On Tools 250. Here is the complete TV and Streaming Schedule:
