Richard Boswell to Take Over as Briscoe Crew Chief; Klausmeier Transitions to New Role
Entry lists on Monday revealed crew chief changes for Stewart-Haas Racing, but on Tuesday morning, the race team confirmed the changes. Starting with this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series events at Nashville Superspeedway, things will change.
Chase Briscoe will be reunited with Richard Boswell as his crew chief with the No. 14 NASCAR Cup team. Briscoe and Boswell paired to score eight wins over three seasons in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Davin Restivo, the lead engineer of the No. 10 NASCAR Cup Series team, will move over to Riley Herbst’s No. 98 NASCAR Xfinity Series team as the crew chief. Johnny Klausmeier, who had been serving as the crew chief for Briscoe in the Cup Series, will transition to SHR’s vehicle performance group.

Bath Planet Joins Allmendinger, Kaulig Racing For Chicago Street Race
AJ Allmendinger will carry a new primary sponsorship partner in the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series street race at Chicago as Bath Planet will bring it’s green, blue, and white colors to the No. 16 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
As part of the partnership, Bath Planet will give away a one-day bath remodel to a lucky fan.
“I’m excited to have Bath Planet on board for the Chicago Street Course,” AJ Allmendinger said in a team release. “Street course racing takes me back to my roots and it’s some of the most fun I’ve had racing in my life. It’ll be fun to get there and see what the Cup car is like on this style track. I’m looking forward to putting on a good show and giving away a one-day bath remodel to a fan.”

Serial 1 E-Bikes Expands Sponsorship of Todd Gilliland, Front Row Motorsports
Front Row Motorsports announced Monday that Serial 1 E-Bikes has expanded its sponsorship of the team and driver Todd Gilliland for an additional three races. The bike company, which sponsored the No. 38 Ford Mustang at Darlington and Gateway, will also be on the car at Nashville Superspeedway, Watkins Glen International in August, and Homestead-Miami Speedway in October.
Serial 1 also sponsored Gilliland at Sonoma when he piloted the No. 51 Rick Ware Racing entry.
With this announcement, Front Row Motorsports has now secured sponsorship for all of Gilliland’s remaining races in the No. 38 this season.
