Austin Hill Sweeps Talladega in 2025; Locks RCR No. 21 into Owner’s Final 4
While the rest of the field was busy crashing in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series United Rentals 250 at Talladega Superspeedway, Austin Hill was busy winning. The driver of the No. 21 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet took the win over Rookie contender Carson Kvapil, which means the Georgia native has swept Talladega for the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity season.
With the win, Hill advanced his No. 21 RCR team into the Championship 4 of the owner’s championship Playoffs.
Justin Allgaier, and Connor Zilisch were able to secure their berths into the NASCAR Xfinity Series driver’s Championship 4 by way of points in Saturday’s race.

William Sawalich Transported to Local Hospital for Further Evaluation
After a scary crash in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series United Rentals 250, William Sawalich was transported to a local area hospital for further evaluation, where he remained until roughly 3:11 AM ET. Joe Gibbs Racing confirmed in the early hours of the morning on Sunday that Sawalich had been released from the hospital.

Michael McDowell Grabs First Superspeedway Pole for Spire at Talladega
Michael McDowell captured his second pole of the season, and eighth career pole on Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway. For the first time in the history of the Spire Motorsports NASCAR Cup Series team, the organization will start from the pole in a superspeedway race.
Playoff contender Chase Briscoe narrowly missed out on his eighth pole of the season, and will start Sunday’s YellaWood 500 from the outside of row 1.
