Justin Allgaier Overcomes Penalty to Eke Out Daytona Win by 0.005 Seconds
In the fourth-closest margin of victory in NASCAR Xfinity Series history, Justin Allgaier snagged the win in Friday night’s Wawa 250 at Daytona International Speedway by 0.005 sec. over Sheldon Creed.
Allgaier pulled off an epic comeback from starting in the rear and serving a pass-through penalty at the start of the race due to inspection issues on Thursday.
The race featured multiple massive crashes, and Allgaier stood above the rest when all was said and done for his first-ever win at Daytona.
