Alex Bowman Out Again At Las Vegas; Justin Allgaier to Pilot No. 48
As Alex Bowman continues to recover from symptoms of vertigo, which cropped up late in the event a few weeks ago at Circuit of the Americas, the driver will be sidelined for the second consecutive week in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Bowman, who has yet to be medically cleared to return to competition, will have Justin Allgaier filling in for the No. 48 team in his place this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
“Alex continues to work closely with doctors toward being medically cleared, but he’s still experiencing some lingering symptoms,” said Jeff Andrews, president and general manager of Hendrick Motorsports. “He’s put a lot into the recovery process, and we will continue to support him every step of the way. Our priority remains making sure Alex is fully ready before returning to the race car.”
Allgaier, who won last week’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series event at Phoenix, was the race winner of the March 2025 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at LVMS.
