Toby’s Take: Chase Elliott is Back and so is Texas Motor Speedway!
After three consecutive top-five finishes culminated with a win in Sunday’s Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway, our Toby Christie states that Chase Elliott, who suffered through a miserable 2023 season, is officially back. And that fact should worry the competition, because when Elliott is in the zone, he’s one of the best in the sport.
Not only is Elliott back, but a much-beleaguered Texas Motor Speedway is back as well! Sunday’s race featured a tight rope of grip, which led to 16 cautions. There were also 23 lead changes. Texas, like Chase Elliott, got what it desperately needed on Sunday — a good race.

Ryan Roulette will return for his third ARCA Menards Series start of the 2024 season this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway as he will once again pilot the No. 12 Ford for Fast Track Racing. Roulette and the No. 12 team will have a member of the Local VFW as an honorary team member for Saturday’s race.

Entry List: NCS GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway
There are 38 cares on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, which marks the third consecutive race that the race will feature “Open” entries.
Cody Ware will return for his first start in over a year as he will drive the No. 15 Rick Ware Racing entry, and Shane van Gisbergen will pilot the No. 16 Kaulig car with sponsorship from Wendy’s.
Anthony Alfredo, in the No. 62 Beard Motorsports entry, and BJ McLeod in the No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports entry are the two “Open” entries for this weekend’s race.
